All in all, I was very disappointed. Mostly because I love the series so much that the graphic novel completely fails on. The art was OK, but it didn't do the characters justice and I'm not sure why they made Nora look like a slut half of the time and it seems like she is more of a Marcie to me. Also, the storyline seemed to go way too fast and they needed to spend more time on this before they made it public. The reason I'm giving it two stars is that I'm sure creating a graphic novel with three different illustrators and one author is difficult to make depending on if anyone agrees with everything being done. I do like how it was hardcover though and Patch remained pretty much the same from the novel.

I read hush, hush when it was offered as a First Look Book Club through Barnes and Noble and really enjoyed it and I was interested to see how it would be as a graphic novel. The graphic novel only covers the first half of the book as seems to be common with graphic novels. I guess since so much of the story is told in pictures, even though there is less word wise to read, there is more space taken up with pictures.The picture I had of Nora in my mind was not the way she was drawn on the page. I am not a fan of how graphic novels make the female characters more exaggerated. Bigger hips, bigger breasts and such. Nora had a belly baring top on page after page which is not how I saw her at all. I would have thought that the intended audience of the novel were female teenagers and young adults, I think having this depiction is actually a negative thing as very few girls actually look like that and it is another avenue like fashion magazines which are marketing a mostly unattainable image of beauty. My dislike of how Nora was drawn led to less satisfaction with the story overall. I think if I had picked this up before the novel I would have been unlikely to read the actual book.The short story included at the end was good and much more in line with the series. It takes place after book one and before book two and gives a hint at the politics that are to come into play in the storyline.

First let me clarify, I am a huge fan of the hush, hush series but the graphic novel was a little bit of a let down. I was generous in giving it a four star. The story is there, the book does a good job of following it, but it ended rather abruptly only giving part of the story saying that it will be continued. I did not like that. Secondly, Nora was depicted as a blonde wearing almost nothing, it was sad. And vee was made to look like a cow, and I love vee but I did not think that they captured her right. Patch, however, had a good job done on him there were times when I was like "that's a little off" but all in all he had a decent job done, and can I just say that the cover is gorgeous! like brilliant!!! love it!!! I was hoping that patch would look more like how he is depicted on the front but they made him a little more lean in the book. My favorite part of the book was the fact that you get an extra story for the hush, hush series that falls between hush, hush, and crescendo. Loved the exta story and loved the fact it had both patch and Nora POV.

I had bought this because I wanted to SEE Hush Hush. But I was very disappointed with the way the characters looked and the way book abruptly stopped.

IOt is a very nice product, arrived on time and in excellent conditions. The history of hush hush is continued n this novel, even thouh maybe is not the greatest art production of thhe worls it is really cool. I recomend it a lot or the lovers of hush hush saga. I'm waiting for the part two to come out!!

I love the book series and when I saw this graphic novel I had to get it. The art is great and the story is spot on. I can't wait for the next book to be released.

2nd Update: Still reading and may not be even 1/2 way through reading the book. Why the rating?1) There is so much concrete information here.2) This is in depth and about as technical as most of us non-medical professionals can handle, however, Dr. Osansky is very good at making this highly technical information understandable.3) Comprehensive covers ALL the bases adrenal issues, triggers, stress, pathogens, diet, sleep, water, hormones, detox (chemical/electrical/+), exercise and more and as noted earlier there is a lot not just a smattering that leaves you wondering.4) There are tons of books out there on thyroid and even specifically Hashimotos but none compare to this; even the really good ones.5) My personal experience with this disorder. I was ready to start AIP when I started listening to the webinar, afterward, I was sure AIP was my next step. I've spent the past couple years+ clearing out pathogens, detoxing, upping the ante on dietary changes by getting tested for allergens and food sensitivities, I exercise regularly and daily practice multiple stress reduction techniques, am treating adrenal exhaustion, I'm on NDT and have been on 4 brands now plus years on Synthroid and Cytomel but my TSH is still high. When I increase my dose I get hyper (not good for adrenals or sleep and heart rate goes way up so exercise is difficult). I'm 11 days into the AIP and really feeling even better, I don't know where to turn to get that TSH down. I've felt horrible for over 20 years - brain fog, to overwhelmed to brush my teeth on a regular basis much less cook for myself. I have 3 great doctors (chiropractor, naturopath & general practitioner) who currently assist and direct (with more before- from coast to coast-literally San Franciso to Washington D.C.), but with my TSH high I have to do something else. I believe I have found the answers I need to turn this around. For some time now I have known my ultimate goal is to manage symptoms and then I found out it is possible to get the autoimmune component into remission, so that has been my newest goal. I hope to check back in with this review in another 2-4 weeks to update on progress. At this point, I recommend the digital version (handy to take along and the hard copy of the book - there is just too much information here and this is great reference information to have on hand and to be able to take to your doctor. This is breakthrough and must have information for anyone with Hashimoto's and probably Graves although Doc may have a book just on Graves since his personal experience is with that. I can't think of another medical condition that is so poorly handled by the traditional medical community, it's absurd and horrifying.1st Review: Upon receipt after the 1st day of not being able to put it down: Love the information in this book. If you want to heal your autoimmune Hashimoto's a must-read. I hope to check back in a month and post the outcome of following recommendations. Lots of information here, not just the usual sales pitch as so many of these things are becoming. I recommend the online lecture series also. If you have an autoimmune thyroid condition, as much as you may like your endocrinologist, he/she will NEVER be able to address the autoimmune side of the disease. ALL THEY DO is write prescriptions, and wait for your disease to progress.This book is for those who refuse to sit back, pop pills, and wait to get sicker. There ARE things you can do, this book offers practical advice, steps, and science & research-based methods to reverse your disease. You did not develop this disease overnight for no reason, there are underlying issues in your body that your current doctor is not aware of, was not taught in med school, or is unwilling to look for.This book tells you how to find your triggers, what types of tests you need, and how to treat the triggers you find which includes supplements, herbs, etc.

Having read the entire book cover to cover, I can state that there is a certain degree of useful information hidden in this voluminous book. However, this book desperately needs an excellent editor. In its existing state, the book is not worth the price nor the time to try to plow through it if the reader is currently attempting to find immediate assistance in addressing his/her Hashimoto's.The prose is dense and repetitive and all too often, the author rambles part way into a topic only to say, "I'll discuss this in Chapter X." That would be irritating any time, but for someone in the middle of a Hashimoto's flare-up, which is frequently characterized by mental confusion and atypical difficulty in comprehension, these flaws are fatal; it makes the useful information nearly impossible to find and digest. Better writing overall, improved organization of the material, and judicious deletion of concepts that are repeated and re-referenced throughout the book would vastly improve what has the potential to be a useful tool in addressing the myriad frustrations of dealing with a Hashimoto's diagnosis.

This is the most comprehensive book about Hashimoto's that I have ever read. I've been researching ways to achieve remission with this condition for many years and have read most of the top books on the subject. It's rare that I come across new information in this area but I was pleasantly surprised to be taught some new things by Dr. Osansky. He digs deep into explaining the autoimmune component of this condition which I found very helpful. This book is very technical and will likely be way over the head of a newly diagnosed patient. But, it's an excellent reference manual to help someone understand this complicated and difficult to treat condition.

This was a such a great book to read. I bought this book because my wife has had issues with her thyroid for many years since childhood and every few months I’m always going with her to see the endocrinologist for her checkups. I wanted to learn know more about this area so that I can help my wife where i can and have a better understanding on the subject. The author does a great job in explaining about our autoimmune cells, the triggers and how it impacts our health.The author shares a wealth of knowledge in regards to the autoimmune thyroid condition. Highly recommend!
