Andy Cohen's first book made me love him, but this actually proved to do the opposite. The title is correct. It is incredibly shallow. However, there was no "Deep Look". The only good parts of the book centered around his dog and his mom. It is hard to hear someone of his status lamenting over trivial things occurring around him and other famous people. Save your money.

I love Andy Cohen; and love Watch What Happens Live-----but this is one of the singularly most boring books ever written! It's not funny, it's not entertaining,and it's not informative. It's just boring. He doesn't give enough details when he should. Further, his stories are bland and not funny. Sad that what should and could have been a fabulous book was merely mundane. I quit reading at 31 percent through. Sad.

If you really want to know everything about Andy Cohen's dog, then this is the book for you. If you are hoping to find Housewives' gossip or any other behind the scenes information, don't buy this book. It has none - except maybe where Andy throws the reader a bone and says "I was on the phone with a Househusband who wanted to renegotiate his wife's contract." That could be anyone and with no other details provided, your natural reaction is "so what?" By contrast, I do know a lot more about Andy's dog, Wacha, than I ever would care to. And I have a dog. I found myself skipping through the dog parts (which felt like 95% of the book) to try to get to anything substantive - and then it was basically about Grac, and Bruce, and Kelly Rippa eating meals with him or going to the Hamptons or doing random things. I kept screaming (in my mind) "I don't care about your dog that much!"

I am a huge Bravo fan and a fan of andy's. Loved Most Talkative. Even bought it for my mom who loves Susan Lucci. But this one is kind of a sad read, really. It details his days which apparently consist of hobnobbing with celebs, eating out, partying a ton, working out, getting 2 hour massages, walking his dog and doing his show. Oh and obsessing over 5 pounds. He looks for love on tinder and flirts with everyone. Oh Andy. Listen - you are lovable for who you are. You don't need to turn up the flirt so much.I don't know. I keep reading it in hopes of getting to something truly inspired or gleaning some new insight into his mind but it's not coming. I tried to like this one but I wish he would've done something either more 'insider' with real info on the housewives (why bother telling juicy stories without naming names when you name dropped the entire rest of the book?) or not at all.

I bought the book and the audio CD to see which one would be best to give to my mom for Christmas. I like Andy Cohen, but my mom L-O-V-E-S him... and she is a ravenous reader, so I thought the book would be something she really liked. I decided to listen to the audio, to see if that might be a better gift than the book... and... I'm on the 3rd CD (I just opened it yesterday) and I can't wait to listen to more! I'm sure the book is entertaining, but the audio is so good because Andy adds his inflections, and after "trying" to impersonate Martha Stewart and others, he apologies for his bad impersonation (although I totally heard Martha in his "bad" impersonation) -- I love that he does the impersonations, good or bad, they totally add to his story-telling. I also feel like it's SO much easier to imagine the situation he's reading about, when it's his silly voice.. and he also giggles from time to time, totally adds to the "Andy Experience" ... I absolutely love the audio version, and sorry to say, I will be returning the book because I know my mom will enjoy the audio more.It is, as it says, totally shallow! It's totally written/read in diary style... each entry starts with the day & date. Each CD has 11 tracks and the tracks are an average of 8 minutes long... and there are 11 Cds in total.He doesn't go into extensive detail about any celebrities, or any of the situations, it totally sticks to a diary entry type style, which I really enjoyed. He gives enough information about each story so I'm able to imagine exactly what he's talking about, but then he moves onto to another story that is just as fun, and entertaining. Also, if you are a regular WWHL viewer, you will totally recall some of the shows & guests he's talking about... he's already cleared up a question I had about Terrance Howard's appearance. It's definitely a fun listen!I'm only 3 discs in, but already, Andy is one of my best friends (in my mind) and I would LOVE to spend a weekend hanging out with this guy... he knows how to have fun, Fun, FUN!!

This book made me like Andy Cohen less than I did before I read it. He comes across as a self absorbed shallow guy who, at 46 acts like a teenager. (not a good look) Every day in his life is filled to the brim with socializing and schmoozing with people most of us do not know by their initials alone. I felt like I was tagging along from one restaurant or bar to another and never introduced to the people at the table. His adorable dog, I think, needs to take a break and go to the dog sitter for a couple days to be with real people for a while. Don't look for Housewives dish. It isn't there.
